Something to Wear

Gifting wearables can be challenging, so I’ve tried to stay focused on accessories and affinities - hopefully a little something for everyone. Beyond these options I’m always convinced a nice neutral sweater, beanie or set of gloves is always well received.

For the slopes. Chic frames from Sunski, the best socks from SmartWool, and something cozy for aprés - CirrusLite Joggers from Eddie Bauer.

For the streets. A super smart helmet with built in lights and signaling - Nyxel Helmet from Lumos.

For luck. Reminding Bracelet from Rabbit Rabbit.

For something that goes with everything. A fresh clean fragrance that morphs specifically to its wearer from floral to musky to fruity. No Fragrance Fragrance from No Makeup Makeup.

For the sporty. A delightfully retro quarter-zip sweatshirt from Abercrombie & Fitch, any number of Minor League Ball shirts from the tame Tacoma Rainiers and Nashville Sounds (to the more insane Biloxi Shuckers or Montgomery Biscuits), or lastly for America - 2026 Olympics Polo Fleece from Team USA.

For the not so sporty. Aesthetics Tee from Open Editions, Negroni Social Club sweatshirt from the Refined Spirit, and a testament to reading choices Romance Novel Tee from 831.

For taming tresses. A cute towel headband for their daily skincare routine from Piglet in Bed, block print scrunchies from Inner Child (other colors too!), and flat claw clips (great for long drives or airplanes) from Free People.

For the warmth of the sun. A packable canvas riff on the bucket hat - Canvas Magic Hat from Gardenheir,

For the chill of the wind. A cashmere bandana to tie around coat collars above from Free People (but I also love Slip Into Soft and La Ligne), blingy gloves for little hands from Super Smalls, and finally - because always always socks - Donegal from Kiel James Patrick.

For good boys and girls. Fancy collars featuring fish scales, both fresh and saltwater (and grouse or pheasant for the land lovers)- Tarpon Collar from Whiskey Leatherworks. Or a classic waxed canvas coat for bad weather walks - Barbour Dog Coat on Westerland.

For daily wear that feel like heirlooms. Chili pepper earrings from Leif. a pendant necklace based on a plate out of her family china cabinet - Oyster Plate Necklace from Susan Shaw (love all of her plate necklaces and this too). Or for something that sparkles - Tati Emerald Studs from Loren Hope (don’t miss her slider necklaces as well).

For dressing their device. A sophisticated phone case from Inserif or a bejewled wristlet from Ossa. Note that these two things don’t work together - Ossa requires its own case but Casemate and Save The Girls offer universal wristlets.

Finally, for topping things off. Modest Script Hat from Field Grade, Tequila Hat from Motel Margarita (also this), and Bad Day to be a Hot Dog from The Babe Co. on Etsy.
